    Well I bought my first shotgun today...Stoeger model 3500, 12ga, 3.5" chamber, 28"barrel, semi automatic, advantage max camo. Bought it mostly for skeet shooting and duck hunting in the fall. I put about 100 rounds through it today without one issue. Anyway, if anyone has any experience with stoegers or tips on duck hunting, let me know your thoughts.

    My late father-in-law had a Stoeger 12g though I don't remember the model. He didn't use it too much but I shot it a few times and it went bang.

    As far as duck hunting goes;
    camo yourself from head to toe including your face. Hide your truck or park a good distance away from the hunt. Learn some basic calls on youtube. Get decoys, they really do work. Set up everything so you have at least 15-20 minutes of stillness before first light. Keep still; ducks have great eyes.

    I have a stoeger model 2000 I use for duck hunting, it's by far the best shotgun I've ever owned; but as a copy of a benelli for less than half the price, how could you go wrong???

    As far as duck, one of my biggest suggestions is to scout before the season. Be out before sun up and find where the ducks are, where they go, how high they fly. That way when the time comes your spot is set up in a good position. Also wear as much camo coverage as you can, and research how to make a successful spread.

    Good luck with it. Only Stoeger experience I've had was with Condors, and they're crap. I bought my bro one for his clays league in high school and it literally fell apart within a season. Half the paint was off at that point, if you could even call it paint. One of my guys at work bought one and it worked intermittently and was basically a giant frustration.

    That may or may not have anything to do with the semi-auto though. There's a reason that entry-level O/Us are $800 and up. Report back after duck season and let us know!
