I think it depends. Personally, unless I lifted my truck and wanted to seriously customize the truck with huge aftermarket tires, off-road bumpers, winch, etc. I would prefer to the leave the decal on. Knowing that most trucks aren't TRD and are blank while the TRD have the decal, I think you are sort of selling your truck short by taking it off. It's not the greatest looking decal in the world, but I don't find it cartoonish or tacky by any means. I think the Tacomas are kind of plain looking trucks without them.

I like the stock stickers. I also like Sockmonkey's decals. Just too lazy to order some and put them on.

I would prefer a simple "4x4 Off Road".

TRD just doesn't sound good when pronounced (turd).

    I vote leave them on.

I've always felt that if you didn't have a TRD Tacoma(with the stickers) then you didn't have a true Tacoma. I think the stickers are what make it!

But, like everyone says, it's personal opinion and there is mine :)

I took mine off for the clean look, and liked it, but also liked how all my blacked out trim looked on the bright red, so I had some more made in just all black and I really like them.

You could have saved yourself some money and just bought an SR5 and added some TRD decals .

    Boom , instant " true Tacoma "

The OF stickers don't look bad, but to me it depends on the color of the truck. The red looks better on my BR truck than it does on the TM truck I had.

I finally took one off my BR Tacoma b/c it was tilted, but left the other one on. I bought a new one to replace the one I took off, but haven't put it on yet.

I like some from the Sock catalog better, so I'm going to go with a couple of his instead of the factory stickers.

    Good luck with it!
