So my family has some land out in the country here...some 150 acres or so...my grandparents sold some awhile back to help with some major medical expenses...the 150 is what we have left...

anyways...the land they sold became a development...with a bunch of houses...they clear cut the place and put in a bunch of BIG homes...its actually a rather nice neighborhood minus the fact they have no trees...

so i was out riding around in our back land today for my pictures and to check the property out...we have issues with the residents of said neighborhood riding dirtbikes and hunting on our land...despite our obvious no trespassing/no hunting signs and barbed wire fences etc

so we routinely check the property and make sure theyre not using it as it creates a huge legal issue for everyone

so while i was out today i encountered a big burned area in one of our fields...its pretty obvious what happened too...

one of the residents decided to do a burn to his yard (i suppose to try and help growth) and it jumped the fence and scorched a big spot on our property...

imagine if it hadnt gotten contained:eek:

fuckers...i guess im gonna have to go fire off the shotgun regularly again out there

heres some pics...i do find it odd though that our property is burned a lot darker than the yard next to it...but when looked at closely you can tell the yard has been completely burned as well...other than whats close to the house

for awhile all the neighborhood kids were riding dirt bikes all over my trails out there...so i would make a weekly trip either really early or really late and fire off a box of shotgun rounds...just to let them know i was back there...but the last time i did it someone shot back

i of course ducked and drew my handgun and called the local sheriff...but i havent been back out there to shoot since then

we have a really old house back there too that one of my great granddads "employees" lived in...and the last time i had been in it...it had been ransacked and obviously used as the local smoking/drinking spot for the kids...

i found a baseball bat and a bottle of vodka...i kept the bat and smashed the vodka...and dad had a nice long chat with the sheriff's deputies about that as well

jeff, your in luck. As I am currently out of work, for a nominal fee, I would be more than happy to come up there and fortify your famillies land, with an assortment of weapons from the "Chris4x4 Armory". Let me know.

Ok. I'll have to bring my grill, and my own food. The up charge will be minimal.

Damit, Jeff, Im trying to help you here. I will make sure that they burn OFF of your property. Also, those are some nice houses in the area. Im sure that If I were to walk in with my skill saw, dressed in black and wearing my cycle helmet, they would kindly give me food.

power to the fence would be great and all...but it wouldnt last long...plus the length of the fence is too long...

unfortunately i think the trespassing is only going to get worse for awhile as we're having a timber company come in and cut some trees out...kind of thin the forest sort of thing...we get money...they get some lumber...

theyre not clear cutting...but its going to be tough to keep people off the property when we have timber guys coming in there all the time

hopefully someone will be stupid enough to fuck with their equipment and charges will get pressed by someone with deeper pockets than us
