    How we looking Eric? The more I look at the front I'm wondering if I should have you shorten it up even more? On your truck you removed the flares and opened your wheel well up over stock right? I was thinking maybe an easy way to do it would be to just build it how you built yours and I will match it by opening up my wheelwells to fit the bumper. Does that make sense? I don't know how far along you are in the build but if there is still time what are your thoughts?

    Unfortunately 2nd gen bumpers are merely a plastic cover over an aluminum standoff, therefore most of the energy would be transferred into the frame, if you notice on most of the recovery bumpers there is an approach angle that would not take direct kinetic energy but deflect it, although more than likely a smaller car would net this and a Tacoma may end up on the trunk. Another truck or bigger vehicle would likely match bumper height and yes then translate force into the frame. Still again, these are trucks not a formula 1 car designed with 100's of 1000's of dollars in high impact crumple zones.

    Just thought I would post. Eric just let me know my bumper (Aluminum front, full protection) and sliders should be shipping by the end of the week so getting closer to getting some pictures out for those of you interested in the full protection design. Also had the sides shortned up so I can open up my wheel wells a bit........

    Slider pieces are cut, outer tubes are bent.
    Front bumper is getting CNC'ed this week.
