    No complaints ever? No Problems?

yeah see its the interior of the new 2011 F-150s that I really like especially the dashboard and gauge cluster., but I don't like not having a centre console and a column shifter like the F-150...

As far as the towing, thats not a major thing, but we really need a full size truck for the bigger and wider bed than the tacoma.

while ford may be dealing on the f-150, toyota is practically giving away tundra's giving both cash back and 0% financing, I would go with a tundra unless ford is giving the sane rebate/financing

Yeah house projects oddly are quite frequent in my house

And the coolers we have for hunting, they take up a lot of space.

It'd be nice if I didn't have to always have things hanging out my tailgate or resting on the roof.

I need to look into that, I think ford right now is doing 3K off the MSRP or something, like a rebate.

I just think it would be slightly easier to haggle with ford than toyota dont you think?

ATO front skid (need more but icon's might fail if I hang anything else from my truck) All-Pro front bumper thanks to a good deal here and a pesky encounter with a rock or 20, total chaos uppers.
Fuel pump started to go on one (check engine light), few snapped u joints (due to lift introducing axel wrap, fixed with traction bars), killed mass air flow with a over oiled knn but again my fault. Sure there were a few other things but both trucks never left me stranded (did drive home in front wheel drive with the u joints) I have already replaced my front diff in my taco, replace ac compressor, alternator went out and left me stuck on a trip, and had to rebuild the rear drive shaft. So I personally had better luck with the fords. Now when it comes time to sell sure the taco will fare much better. But keep in mind I really like my tacoma.

I was able to get my Taco for much less than 3K off MSRP, so don't look at that rebate as a very big deal. I think Toyota's more likely to bend on a Tundra purchase than a Tacoma, since the tacoma sells so well, especially now, with higher fuel costs. I personally like both, and after seeing the F150 assembly in Michigan, I have a new respect for the truck. Whichever truck you decide to buy, try to strike a deal with the internet sales departments of a dealerships, and have them compete against one another for your business. You'll find they will easily start to lower the price. Takes time, but well worth it. Best of luck man!

I personally say Tundra because there is no truck as aggressive and intimidating as it, but I'll agree, sometimes it looks quite ugly. Either choice between the Ford and Tundra is a great one.

I got my f150 for 7000 off MSRP. I considered the tundra but I read about how awful the MPG's were, especially if you decided to put a bigger wheel/tire combo on with a small lift.

Added extra awesomeness to its original awesomeness.
Of Ford's line of vehicles, the F150 is their bread and butter. Across the board Ford may not be as reliable as Toyota, but the F150 has a pretty long lasting history. That being said, it appears the Tundra has more towing ability, higher clearances, and cost less.

I personally would go with the Tundra, great trucks, and all the options you mentioned are better and cheaper with the Tundra.

As far as looking like a whale, I personally think the size of full size trucks has gotten to ridiculous levels, hence thats why I am perfectly happy with my tacoma. Unless I need something that I can't already get with the Taco, I won't get rid of it and would get another.

x2! This last car I bought (mazda 3), I went through the online sales team and was able to get the car well under invoice. I just took the final price to the dealership where the car was and did the paperwork. Hassle free and extremely fast.

    I'm Biased too, but there's a whole lot more power with that 5.0 so I would go with that, but you should really test drive them first :}

Ahhh okay well I doubt I'll run into major mechanical problems like that, I'm not looking for a lift anyways.

Yeah, I know for sure the 5.7L iForce V8 is out of the question, If it were the tundra we're getting the 4.6L V8. With that being said, the F-150's 5.0L V8 is a better choice, it gets WAY more HP/Torque and slightly better MPGs than the 4.6L V8. Don't worry I'm not planning on lifting either truck.

I think we probably can get both dealers to negotiate pretty heavily, I'm sure both dealers know that the truck market is a really agressive market and they'd really want their sale.

I DO remember once, I was in the parking lot leaving a grocery store and there was this lady in a new ford expedition and I could hear it cranking, but it wouldn't start. At times all I heard was a click from the starter motor, and there was another lady walking next to me, she had said to the lady in the ford "oh my gosh, don't worry this happens to my ford all the time" :(

But I was looking on JD power ratings, both the Tundra and the F-150 share the same reliability ratings. As far as the looks, They both look like great trucks to me, like I said though, I like the interior of the F-150 just a little bit more. The only thing I don't like is the column shifter...I like having a centre console and console shifter.

I probably will visit both dealerships again soon. I want to test drive the 4.6L V8 in the Tundra and then the 5.0L V8 in the F-150.

Yay, more useless, expensive electronics to go bad that aren't necessary if you actually know how to drive

But what about the F-150? Does it hold value too? I'd expect the tundra too being that it's a toyota

IMO, they hold it pretty well. Before getting my Taco we shopped for F150's but $$$$
