Yes, its a speculation photochop. That is the picture of the current 4-Runner. That picture has been floating around for the better part of a year. It was posted earlier in this thread.

    I think its badass.

Yes - it is definitely photoshopped.

Here is one of the better versions I've seen on here...

If this ends up being similar to the full redesign...I'll sign the papers right now.

^x3... I think the new 4Runner looks awesome! If the Taco looks like that I will indeed be glad I waited all these months (my main fear now is that interest rates by the fall/winter will be significantly higher now that S&P has downgraded the US's credit rating to one step below AAA... damn it... fnckin' spend crazy politicians!!!!!!!!!!!)

I guess I'm different from most but I think it's ugly. I didn't like the new 4-runners when I first saw them and don't care for the supposed new Taco. Maybe it will grow on me, I've had the same happen in the past with other vehicles but for now I just don't like it. It's too squared off and has a car like look to it imo. And most don't like the 2nd gen. as they are too big for them, to me this one looks even bigger in the pics. Maybe it's not, but has a bigger look to it. :( So again, I'm glad I bought mine when I did although I'm sure it will have something new to it I'll wish mine had.

I wouldnt worry too much about it - we're talking about a couple user-made photochops here, not actual pics of the new Toyota. If I had to venture a guess (Just like everyone else :D) I'd say the new 'facelift' will resemble the current Taco more than the current 4Runner. But that's just my opinion.

Well when I first saw the new 4-runner I said that the Taco would probably resemble it and even though I wouldn't mind seeing what the new one would offer, I knew I didn't want it if it looked like that.

Yeah guys, don't get any hopes up - if I had a few hours of spare time, I'd Photoshop my own pics too. :D

I'm not so sure. If they do a "temporary" redesign in 2012 and revamp the whole truck in 2013, it will be both difficult and expensive as hell to get replacement parts for a 2012 model. Granted, a lot of parts should be the same, but for those parts which are not...well, you get the idea.

You don't understand...they will make body and interior changes now...run with the same engine and tranny, then in 2013 or 2014 they will drop the new engine in... Heck! I can guess just as well as the next guy! :)

    You're not sure of what?

I was just saying that if this ends up being the look of the Tacoma anytime in the near future, I will trade my brand new 2011 in for it as soon as it's available. I love the look of that Photochop. :D

Ford did that. Body redesign in 2009 and new engines in 2011.In fact, they only used the 4.6 3V for two years. In the 2009 and 2010.They did just like Toyota and kept it hush-hush as long as posible. I also think the tacoma body redesign will be 2012 and new engines and a 6 speed automatic in 2013 or 2014 to better meet cafe standards.Since the 2012s are coming out so late I will probably wait and get a 2013. I would sure like to see them put a V6 with 5 or 6 speed automatic in the regular cab with the trailer tow package.

Why would the embargo only be on the Tacoma?
