It could be just the valve seals, that's a common cause of blue yoder smoke. That's a $1500 top end job. If it's piston rings...well it could substantially decrease the value of the truck.

I've been contemplating my future LT setup and here's what I have running through my head: TC LT + spindles, bump stops, AllPro leaf pack.

Just a rough idea, but I'd prefer to stay away from a lot of rear fab work and stick to a bolt on leaf pack but I'm not sure if that would cut it compared to how the front end would perform. I'd also be able to keep the stock bedsides w/ that rear set up and would run AllPro's front glass w/ TC's kit.

Either that or defined engineering's SUA w/ weld on perches. Bit more pricey compared to allpro, and I think you can still retain stock bedsides w/ 33's.

I'd like to stick to no more than 4" of ride height and I'm wondering if TC's spindle w/ LT would put the truck higher.

Is this correct? Zero pre-load on the coilover + TC spindle= approx. 3.5"

Back wont keep up with the front unless u l/t the whole thing. you wont see difference between 3.5 in or 4in spindle.

That's an interesting canti setup, but like, you know, what happens when it articulates? Does it bind at full stuff? when springs flatten out they get longer. I see broken shock shafts in your future, and it will eat leaf springs. At least that's what my crystal ball of doom says.

All pro fenders are way to small for tc lt and spindles..and you will get 3.5 to 4" of lift from just the lt
