I supercharged my last tacoma at 140,000 mi and It was great...I dont see why not...its not like the metal in the engine goes brittle...just do it youll be happy....and to the nay sayers its just cause you dont have one. Better hp when you need it better towing abilities and saves gas on the freeway but thats not why I got it...I got it to say I have one :D
BTW i know SC is not for everyone...so I dont want to offend the nay sayers

I think you are going to find the limits of a few gaskets and seals. (From the increased blow by into the crankcase) Probably not much more than that if the engine has been maintained.

Might be a good idea to not blow ALL your money on the supercharger. Keep some around in case you need to fix the weak links.

Nay sayers do research on SC's it makes engine more efficient...my supercharger didnt come with cool points or make it a sports car it just turned it into a boosted tacoma :)

Well if those were weak in the first place they should be changed regardless i guess the SC just helps find the problem faster lol

Well according to some people on hear having 100,000+ mi on the engine makes it weak and brittle so we should all assume the engine is a failure after 100,000mi and cant handle boost thats how you know :D

Just wait and maybe you'll find a used and hopefully reliable one for dirt cheap. No sense spend that much coin, how's the rest of the truck running - brakes, tranny, fuel pump, etc....

Otherwise DO IT, DO IT NOW!! My supercharger just arrived yesterday (however, slight discrepancy - the fit kit did not show - will speak with shoptrd.com on monday about this). I think if your engine was well maintained and are comfortable with the driveline why not - do you think you'll ever have a chance to supercharge another vehicle in the future.;)

Yea, well there are people on here with 300,000+ miles on it and they are still going strong so I think its a BS question. Do a leak down test, if your engine is still showing good compression go ahead and boost it. The trd is a VERY mild tuned supercharger. Its meant to be bolted on and have little to no affect on the engine for longevity. Hence the reason the URD makes so much more power because it is a much hotter tune.

If your engine has good compression I wouldnt worry about it.

You are very correct...people speak about SC like its going to blow up the motor cause of mileage...I had 140,000 mi on mine before I installed it and it was fine....i did my research also

You shouldn't have a problem. I had a acura integra with 165k and i put a turbo on it and drove it for like two years with no problems till i crashed it and totalled it.So I think you shouldn't have a problem.
