    It would likely tear or rub the PD off. 3M clear auto tape may be a better solution. I have the 3" wide stuff on top of my tailgate and areas under the door where shoes rub paint off.

    I think it depends on how much you have "dipped". I have done my emblems and the lower middle portion of the front bumper. Personally I don't think an untrained eye could tell the difference
