check these sites...see if you can find a set of tires that you like and see if one of those dealers will do a mounted and balanced package so you dont ever have to set foot in a tire store

i would assume they would...i mean the wheels i picked were 16x8 and the tires were 265/70/16 which is close to if not the stock size for a 4x4 tacoma...and i ran that tire size on stock wheels...and im pretty sure my old stock wheels were 16x8

yeah, 16x8's will fit almost any tire(that you'd want on your truck anyway) for a 16" rim to my knowledge. As for 17's, look for 17x8's or maybe 17x9's. With this width you dont want to run below a 265 width though. The tire manufacturers put the suitable wheel range in the specs for each tire they make. Find the tire you want and look it up on the manufacturers site to check, if its in the range then you're good to go!

i'd personally stick with what you got which is probably 265/75/16 or 265/70/16

that is of course if you go with a 16" wheel

yeah and equivalent to that for 17 it'd be 265-70-17, or 265-65-17 then.

wow, thats a 29x11.0x15 then. you've got some pretty small tires then,
Maybe a 245 would be better in that case. I'm not sure how big you can fit stock.

if he's a 4x4 or prerunner i know he should be able to fit up to 265/75/16 without issue...i ran that size with no lift for a long time
