shoptrd.com (Toyota of Richmond) ordering issues

Need to vent so he we go -

Last week i ordered a TRD supercharger w/ fit kit from shoptrd.com. Only the supercharger itself arrived on Friday, since it was late i sent an email. Now it's monday and i called them and they are saying i only ordered the supercharger.

On their site it clearly shows you can buy the supercharger alone for $3400, add the fit kit for another $306, or you can buy the supercharger w/ fit kit for $3699. Check out there site ShopTrd.com and tell me how Toyota of Richmond can't figure out how there site sells there supercharger.

The guy on the phone told me he will have his boss call me in 45 minutes, will keep you posted.
Sucks cuz i live in Hawaii and shit like this takes forever to fix - dam shippping.

I actually have an order in with shoptrd that hasn't shipped yet. I'll let you know how it goes, but I had a friend order from them who had no issues.

This kind of thing is usually just a misunderstanding, so make sure if that is the case or if they make it right, that you post here. No need to damage a business's reputation until you know for sure the outcome.

I'm not going to bash them, just giving a heads up. I have not received a call back yet, but yeah i was charged $3699 + $185 for shipping so either way according to their site i paid for both supercharger and fit kit.

The guy i spoke to on the phone was ok, he wasn't rude but didn't seem to be oozing with customer service. He said he looked at the website and i only ordered the supercharger. I explained "doesn't it make sense that how you have the options set up on the website that i already paid for the supercharger and fit kit", that's when he said i'll have my boss call you back.

33 minutes and counting for return call.

 

Any chance they are shipping the kit as separate as a back ordered item?

 

That's what I'm hoping to hear, but looks like Fedex only shows one box was to be delivered and the complete order would have been two separate boxes.

How soon should i call back, it's past 45 minutes?

 

What I mean is does the invoice indicate that a back order will be shipping at a later date and that you are just being billed for everything now.

I was wondering, with my company we will sometimes bill for the full amount even if there is a back ordered item that will ship a few days later.

 

If it's back ordered that's fine, i just want to hear "oh yeah, sorry for the misunderstanding, we'll get that fit kit out to you as soon as possible". I'm not on a time frame but i just shelled out almost 4 grand online and this can put a brotha on edge! just tried to call and there was no answer on their internet sales extension.

 

So I just got off the phone with shoptrd and spoke with Mark. He checked out my invoice and said the other guy i spoke with was a little new to the system, but i did order the correct charger/kit combo and they could have the fit kit shipped out today express delivery to Hawaii.

Just a reminder, they do have the best online prices for being a certified toyota retailer/dealer. Even there shipping prices were half of other sites i got quoted on (including ebay). Express shipping to Hawaii was 185.00 w/ them all the rest was around 326.00. They even process orders quickly. I ordered the supercharger from Texas on tuesday and it arrived Friday morning. Mark even said when i was on the phone that the fit kit will be shipped out ASAP and could possibly arrive tomorow if not the following day, and this was after i told him i was not on a time frame.
