Sagging rear springs, Best options?

I really dont want to have to replace my whole leaf pack!

Would an AAL, fix my springs that are frowning? Or an AAL and Timbren suspension enhancement? or should i just drop the money and buy new leafs, which i really dont want to have to do!

 

I'm in the same boat. I think mine are so far gone that an AAL won't do anything. I'll be adding new leafs and leveling out the front at the same time I think.

 

I didn't want to do it either, but it's your best option. If they're frowning, an AAL will only delay the inevitible and cause you to spend more money (in the long run). Do it right the first time...

 

I was in the same boat. I ended up getting a new leaf pack. Wheeler's 5 leaf pack. No regrets at all, I love it.

Hows the load carrying capacity on that? I haul a mower and 4wheeler around often.

 

do the ome lift where you get new packs and struts.

 

I got an ome and 5100 lift for the front of my truck already. Im thinking about the all pro expedition leafs.

 

Mine were like that but I just mix and matched my springs with ones from an S10 blazer. Got roughly 3.5-4" of lift. A smoother ride than with an aal and still able to tow the trailers and everything else I haul in the bed.

 

The 5-pack, which gives abtou 1.5 lift, has one more leaf than stock (4 leafs), so it increases capacity. On their website, they don't say by how much, but if you ask Wheeler's, they may be able to give you the spec. Alcan fabs these for them.

How much does your ATV weigh? Maybe some other guys who do the same can give you more info.

This is a pretty good idea. Might be worth it for me to check out some junk yards.

My mower, gas, weedeater, and blower are probably 300-400 pounds and it sags with them on there.
I think it weighs between 700 and 900 pounds. and i tow a small trailer occationally

 

How do thos ride?

 

i have Wheelers 5 pks and the rode great. I then added their AAL they make for their leaf packs to give more lift to match up with my Eibach coils. Looks great and holds plenty of weight.

The Allpro expos tho are great packs from what i have read. However they do ride fairly stiff on an unloaded truck. So unless you plan on having some weight in the back all the time...would totally recommend them. But again, thats just what i have read. I think i will get them next anyways.

 

I'd look at the AllPro Expedition leaves, or the OME Dakars to match your front susp. If you get the Dakars, get the D6XL AAL to go with them. You'll want the extra load capacity.

 

I cut the 2 Ford springs approx. 3.5" off each end ,With the longer spring 40.5" overall & the shorter spring 33.5" respectively for a 5 leaf pack that will give any allpro,deaver,etc: a run for their money...

the ride is awesome, on/offroad, firmer but not harsh, more travel, no bottoming, perfect rebound (dips once & stops as a spring should)
