I was really going to make a rear with wrap arounds, the material was gonna be about 150 bucks, but the metal shop has never called me back about it, I trust my welds 100%.

So you can make a $600 bumper for $150 and a weekend of time. Sounds like you should call the metal shop back

Spent my life savings on a Elite Off-road HC front bumper :D

Now in the mean time ill be trying to switch my 881's for 882's. Once they're off the truck they will be up for sale if anyones interested.

All I can do now is wait :goingcrazy:

    Need advice.

In the somewhat near future I plan to regear to 4.56. I called ECGS and was quoted about $750 for gears front and rear with both install kits, I install. I was quoted $1700 out the door for parts and them to install. What im wondering is how difficult it is to install gears front/rear? Is there anyone around here with that experience?

My advice is to find someone who has experience setting up diffs and have them "supervise" while you put the new diffs together. They can make sure you aren't doing things wrong and you learn how to do it at the same time.

better to learn how to fish than just have someone catch fish for you.

Great way to look at it, and it would save me 1000 bucks.

Did a little reinforcing to the skids today. I'll be putting a 3/16" shell around the gas tank skid as soon as the plate gets here.

Not much, but it should keep the thing from getting bowed up. Got it all welded up, painted and re-installed on the truck.

Got some 3/16" steel today for a gas tank skid. I originally was going to weld a shell around the factory one but after a second look the factory metal was too thin. So I did a little thinking, cutting, welding, more cutting and here is what I have so far. Im going to get more steel tomorrow for the sides.

Finished up the gas tank skid and got it mounted up. Its not beautiful but it'll do the job. Decent I think for my first try.
