16x10 Rockcrawlers? Rub or No?

Alright, I want some black rims bad and want something just a little wider and that will stick out more than what I have now.

These are 16x10 w/ 4" backspacing. Anybody tried running these? Any problems.

 

i wanted these wheels for my truck but 4wheelparts says that steel wheels won't fit our trucks unless you get wheel spacers...just incase you didn't know

 

Yeah, I was figuring you might have to use wheel spacers.

 

Anybody?

 

I would run some 8 in wheels. the problem is probably the hub bore (center hole), any idea how big it is?

Running a 16x8 is just fine by me as well. I was just going for width.

 

I don't know about the caliper???? your best bet is to find some where that sells em local and test fit it.

 

If you run 10" wheels, it will be virtually impossible to avoid rubbing while keeping the rig safe. You could space the wheel off the axle a good ways, but that would put bad stress on the studs.

I have 16x8's with 33" M/Ts and I have slight rubbing.

 

I too have 33" (well 285's anyways) on 16x8's currently and no rubbing whatsoever.

But, you are right, 16x8 is prob def the better option. I just don't wanna have to grind my caliper.

 

It took me a long time to find this perfect wheel for me, with the correct dimensions. I can fit a piece of paper between my wheel and the caliper. Haha

Well the issues regarding any 16" rim for the '05+ Tacos is that a lot of them are rubbing on the caliper.

I posted this to see if anybody has mounted these and to see if they had an clearance issues.

Scroll down a lil ways down the page to the 16x10, 6x5.5 lug pattern, and it indicates that they do fit!!!

I'm gonna call them tomorrow...

They have them available in 16x8 and 16x10 as well. Just scroll down a little ways down the page and you'll find them.

16x10's will definitely fit, it's still just a matter of rubbing and trimming.

What tire would you put on it?

 

Well I have a 3" body and the Revtek spacer kit and it's sits a good ways over the 285's. I'd still prob run the Nitto Grappler's I have for now as there's still 1/2 tread on them. I'm pretty sure I prob won't have much problem with rubbing.

However, when the time comes, will change to 33x12.5 mud terrains.

I'm just trying to un-bling my truck. Here's a pic as it sits currently (well, actually I've put on N-Fab bars and took all the chrome handles and the 4x4 decal off)

That's exactly what I'm trying to do for my truck too.

I'm getting rid of all of the chrome, except for the center hub of my wheels.
