do i need new uca's?

hey all, ordered some 5100's for the front, along with some eibach coils.

Wondering if i really needed new uca's, granted yes its 3 inches lift, i wont be going offroad alot, and when i do i take my time. And i needed new suspension as mines shot which is why the upgrade.

Thoughts?

 

it wouldnt hurt but you should be ok without them....
you will not know until u get it alingment after wards

You will be fine I drove for a year with that setup. Its the 2nd Gens that need new UCAs with a 3" lift us 1st Gen guys can get away with or without.

 

beautiful, i wouldnt be opposed to the idea, but it is another 450 bucks and its adding up fast. maybe on day down the line ill get the allpro uca's just to be safe.

and yeah alignment, i dunno what will happen when i go in, my steering wheel is at 11:15. but my current setup is shot, and it has fat driver lean.

 

you will be fine without them. it will be hard to allign but then can do it.

and if you do with ucas, i say go with camburg

 

what are pro's cons over camburg vs the allpros. whats even the price difference? im just eyballing that 325k trophytruck on camburgs site....

 

I think i have heard that the allpros are a lil noisy. Camburgs all around are prolly the best for the money. If ya wanna be cool ya get Total Chaos ones but those are like 750

You can get Camburgs for around 500-550 i think

 

You may find the lack of caster annoying at higher speeds. It may be a bit twitchy and want to wander. I only have ~2 inches w/ 881s, and I want to get the LR UCAs just to improve caster and tracking.

 

well, ultimately its a load off my chest knowing ill be fine for now. I plan on new ucas and really upgraded everything. I grandma up hills and ride first low down the other side but id like to have stuff thats built to last, yes toyota is, but stronger

 

i just put my 5100s and eibachs on this weekend, my suspension was shot too. i put an aal on the back and the ride is amazing. i love the way it looks and rides, its like a brand new truck
