    Dear rcbs204,

I installed my 4x4 switch light today and found it easier then described. There was a plug in the hole where the wires come out of the switch that had wire holes in it. I just stripped the housing from the red and white wires about 5/8" and threaded it through the plug. The plug just twists back in the hole and the wires in the plug touch the proper contacts. Easy. After splicing into the AC light wires, I had a little trouble with the Molex terminals not staying in place in the switch's factory connector. I just had to push them back in with a needle nose pliers and they now seem to be solidly in place.
I've always wondered why this wasn't installed at the factory in the first place. Driving in the snow at night, I've reached around in the dark looking for the switch and thought it should be illuminated. Problem solved.
    Thanks

    - thebicycleguy

so whats the difference between soldering the two leads or just using the harness? I'm curious as I'll prolly be getting one of these soon.

One gives you an OEM look allows you to remove the switch without clipping the wires when you need to remove completely the other is fast and easier.

So the lighting will look different if I don't solder? Or do you mean the wiring looks more OEM? I understand that it would be easier to remove the switch if it were done the soldering way, but I don't have a soldering iron and I doubt I will ever have to get in there again. Trying to decide if I should go ahead and buy an iron.

Its the wiring that will be different, the lights will not change in appearance.

Never thought about it, did not think there was that type of interest.
I could definitely figure something out though.

It would take at the bare minimum of 25 people, due to the fact that i already have trimmed the cost of this item for the guys at TW. But could probably do a touch more to make it worth while. If i offer it exclusively though TW, then there is no ebay fees which i can round up and the will put the item roughly at ~ $28-$30 Shipped.
