Was just replacing the headlights on my 2005 Tacoma V6 and noticed it looked like something was missing... Can anyone help out and tell me what goes in the spot pictured (circled in red). Havent noticed this before.

    Thanks in advance.

That is one of your A/C lines. That is where they connect the A/C charging unit to charge your A/C. There is supposed to be a little plastic cap over it. If you trace your A/C lines you will see you have another connector like that one but it will either be larger or smaller then that one. Its nothing horrible but its prolly a good idea to find something to covef it or go to the stealership and have them get you one.

Just go to Auto Zone or NAPA and get a plastic uni. cap kit. It will come with a bunch of different sized caps, one should fit.

Nothing horrible. But if uncovered for to long it could get filled with dirt/dust and when if at anytime you need your A/C charged or anything it my give you issues.

downside to not capping it is that debris could get into the orfice..not into the system necessarily but id cap it

Forget getting an expensive cap for it; just hit it with a quick shot of plastidip and call it good.
