What factory parts will I need? Spacers - Eibach Lift Coils.

Hey guys, well I finally saved enough money to pull the trigger on a new suspension set-up. What factory parts, if any, will I need to go from this spacer lift to Eibach lift coils mounted on 5100's set a 0? I just wanna make sure I have all the parts needed to swap out the front suspension without any unexpected problems. Thanks for your help, Matt

 

How are the bushings? That would be the only thing I could think of...personally.

 

The Bilstein 5100's I'll be getting should come with new bushings. If not those will need to be on my list. I want to use all new parts if I can. Thanks for the help, any other parts I need?

 

depending on where you bought your set up, they should come with instructions which will include what will be taken from your stock set up. Keep everything, dispose nothing. [Except for those lift spacers.]

I bought this Tacoma with the spacer front lift. So since I'm not going exactly from a stock suspension set-up, I figured I would need any factory parts that the previous owner didn't use or throughout when he did the spacer lift.

 

Your gonna need the Top plates on there "the ones with the studs".

So I can use the top plates that are mounted on the spacers currently, with the eibach/ 5100 set up?

 

yea it looks like your missing the top plate..

should have something like this

Thanks for all the help guys! Could I get the top plate with the rubber gasket from my local Toyota parts Department?? Is that all the parts I will need to assemble the Eibach's and 5100's together so that I can just take the spacer, stock coil and shock out and directly replace it with the new assembly??

 

I think you can get them at your local dealer. they aren't cheap so be prepared. And yea, new bushings are about all ya need. The spring compressor too to put the together of course and make sure the 5100s are set at 0''. other then that, thats pretty much all ya need

 

Hey thanks bro, I will be calling Toyota Parts here shortly. I hope they don't put too much of a dent in my wallet . I've been saving up for quite a while to get the main parts for my lift.

 

Depending on how much the top plates cost from toyota, I would look at . You won't need the top plates with that and I believe it comes fully assembled and is easily adjustable.

 

Called Toyota and the the top plate mounts is $60.00 a piece, ouch! For the pair ill be paying almost as much as for the Eibach's coils.

 

I was actually considering those Toytec/ Bilstein coilovers. I think I might save a couple hundred however going with the Eibach/5100 set up and paying for the factory top plates from Toyota.

 

Yeah that's true, you just won't have the adjustability of the coilover.

 

You can do a Google search for the top plate and get them a lot cheaper than from Toyota. Wheelers has them I think.
