my workday gave me nightmares..scared of heights?pics

wow. i have made the climb alot. yesterday was a cakewalk. but trying to sleep i had dreams of slipping over the edge. yikes.

well, i had a GREAT WORK day. i took my summer intern out for a "walk". he had no idea. he has done all our crap work, and i wanted to end his visit with us on a high note. so i made some calls, and got it done. the weather cooperated too!

this is the serious perk of my job as a civil. i may even join our bridge inspection team where we can speed rope down these things looking for rust..ahhahah. (this is the San Francisco bay bridge)

I'm so glad that my livelyhood isn't dependant on me having to do that job because I'd starve to death.

 

only time i have been scared..i climbed a tower crane. for the shits and giggles, i thought it would be a good time to climb out on the end. it was awesome until the crane operator took the rig out for a SPIN. it felt like i was flying. i almost puked/peed/shat myself in one move.

i almost punched him in the gut, when i wobbled back. no pics, i was too clenched to let go to grabb a camera.
