It appears to be the most solid date we have heard so far.

I showed her the photo shopped black 4runner pic floating around here and asked her if it looks anything like that, and she said "mmmmmm, the front (on the new tacos) looks wider and more aggressive than the original, but its not too similar in appearance as the previous 4 runner and current tacoma".

Either way, only time will tell, and not too much is left before it comes out and shows its face.

Edit: I asked her about if there would be any engine upgrades, but her being her never bothered to look into it.

My brother in law works in the department where they paint the trucks, but alas, no info has come from him. :p

truck looks really nice, did the dealers give you a good price because of the "pending" 2012's or did they not care?

Hi, this is my first post! I'm about to pull the trigger on a 2011, my biggest worry is my garage size. I have 1" of clearance with a double cab 4x4. So if I wait I'm hoping the overall height doesn't change.
I'm going into this hoping to own my truck for 20 years, so I might want to wait until 2012 are here, but I also want the 1.9% they are offering in Nor Cal. Tough decisions are ahead. Thanks all for the updates.

    Welcome!

I highly doubt the height will change, especially with this being a "minor" redesign/enhancement.

If you are seriously planning on keeping the truck for that long...it sounds like you have the time to wait 20 days and get the real scoop from Toyota.

As far as financing goes, if you have good credit, you can get 1.9% financing from just about anywhere. Even if Toyota doesn't hype it up on the new ones, when I signed for my 2011, I got 0.7% without them honoring an incentive. Granted, that was with my trade-in going 100% towards the Tacoma, regardless, I would not let the 1.9% offer be the deciding factor.

    Just my opinion.

Yeah... that's it. Was this new for 2011?
Yes, I also got a great deal on rates, dealer and factory discounts. I am going to be pissed if it looks like a 4 runner and LMAO if it is another minor tweek.

Man! you guys are awesome!! I reported earlier on that the dealer told me she wouldn't be able to order me a 2012 dc/lb/4x4/trd sport with entune. Needless to say, I was bummed. But now, I just emailed the lady back and threw the Vehicle Inventory Report PDF that vbprsx was so kind enough to upload, and we'll see what she says about that! I don't know what I'd do without you guys... buy a Taco at full price, without the features that I want, in the color that's Similar to what I want, just because the dealer told me it was a great deal!

Once again, you guys are awesome!!!
