metric tire size help...

    caged, camburg long travel, 50t leafpack (soon to be installed) light rack over cab, 5pt harnesses etc
    i have been hearing contradicting posts everywhere.... so am i right about this or wrong??


    if a tire is a 285 70 17....the first number is the width, second is height, and third is wheel size.

    discuss?
