After market wheel bore sizes

I'm trying to put the finishing touches on my mod list for my truck I'm not buying for 12 months LOL but man it's frustrating trying to figure out what size the hub bores are on aftermarket wheels and they don't all list backspacing either.

I have e-mailed retailers and guess nobody cares LOL. I finally found through searching that the 2005-2008 Tacomas are hub centric and the bore size is 106MM.

Does anybody know what the bore size is on Pro Comp wheels? I know I will need hub rings that have a 106mm inside diameter but have no clue what the outside dia. needs to be, since they don't list it in their specs.

I want to find out ASAP because I plan on buying wheels and depending tires after summer. I know that's a long way away but depending on what I can find out, I may end up having to go with a totally diif. lift wheel and tire setup and will need to re-think everything from scratch again..

Thanks yeah I checked 'em out. They do list some bore sizes on some wheels.

What I really want to know is the bore sizes on Pro Comp Wheels. 4x4 parts hasn't returned either of my e-mails.

From what I have been able to figure out the '05-08 Tacos have either a 106mm or 108mm bore size depending on which person is replying to a thread

Also I have gathered that a 108 wheel bore size should work with no hub ring since the gap differance is so minute. I couldn't even find hub rings with a 108 outer and 106 inner dia.

Somebody said the tacos are actually 108 and that they are tappered a tiny bit where the hub meets the mounting surface (where the wheel studs dissapear at).

 

Then there is also the issue with lug nuts. Some are 60 and some are 45 degrees.

 

Damn that took a long time but I finally got answers. Had to break down and actually call somebody, forgot we still use phones.

Most aftermarket truck wheels come in 2 different types.

Non hub centric (108mm bore)

and

hub centric (78mm bore)

There is at least one other larger size for like Ford duellys with 8 lug patterns too.

The ones considered hub centric are actually for GM trucks, which have a much smaller hub bore. If you wanted to use non hub centric on a GM, you would need a HUGE hub ring, which I doubt they make, and if they did make one that large, probably would be a really bad idea, unless it was all metal ring, but still a bad idea.

Even though the non hub centrics are not considered hub centric, due to the generic oversizing of the wheel bore to accomodate different makes, for tacomas they actually are hub centric. Guess Tacomas have the largest bore size for any make truck that uses a 6-5.5 lug pattern and that's why they make the bore holes 108mm. The GM's must have the smallest bore size in that lug pattern.

The whole 45 and 60 degree lug thing thing is still weird but at least they don't cost much and if they send the wrong ones, can get the right ones.
