I don't think my post said anything or even inferred that Benelli was junk. I said I disliked it as do many of my co-workers and stated my reasons why.

I should also point out that opinions based on "my buddy has one and its cool" or "I held one at the gun store and it was rad" Should be taken in context. If you use and depend on these weapons for a living then those opinions may hold a bit more validity.

As with anything there is something for everyone and if you use a benelli as part of your chosen career and you prefer it over the 870 then that is your choice just as it is mine to prefer the 870.

You need to get better at using quotes and not pick out the pieces you want. I wrote it is "more prone to failure" Meaning, in my experience the benelli had more issues with cycling than an 870. Now the argument can be made of course that those cycling issues were user error, however there is not much error in just pulling the trigger.

From a common sense standpoint the benelli has more moving parts making it of course more prone to failure.

Also I am talking about using a shotgun in a variety of conditions as well, not just standing in front of paper at the range so in certain awkward unconventional shooting positions where the shotgun may not be seated firmly in your shoulder the benelli can easily not cycle properly causing a malfunction.

As I stated earlier if you think benelli is the perfect tool for you enjoy it I'm not saying dont buy one or they are junk I am comparing the two and giving my reasons why in my experience I favor the 870.

Thus far you have brought nothing to the table other than to say I'm wrong. I on the otherhand have carried and used both professionaly and will continue to favor the 870 untill such a time as benelli makes something that changes my mind.

Not a shot gun but great for self defense. The Judge fires 410 shells.

Anything you can put 2 or more 12 gauge shells in is wonderful. I enjoy my Remington 870. Its the best pump shotgun ever made.

^ .410 shot shell is arguably not as good as the .45 Long Colt for stopping power (which this gun can use). It is, however, good for smaller creatures like snakes. :)

Saiga 12 modified with pistol grip and proper stock. Similar controls and sight picture as an AK. Can't beat a box magazine for reloads.

Don't get your hopes up there considered a "destructive device" in CA and are thus illegal in this state

I personally use a Remington 870 defense with a collapsable stock and picitiny rail with vertical forgrip and attached light. Loaded first 4 shots with #7 1/2 bird shot and the last 4 with slugs
