Alignment & Lift Q...

Will i have a problem getting my 2009 4x4 with OME 3 inch lift, TC UCAs, and 265/75/16 BFG ATs aligned? From what im reading on some posts it may be hard to get the alignment right with the TC UCAs compared to the LR UCAs.....just want to know before i have my 4x4 shop install everything....is anyone running this combo....feedback?

It should actually be better with the TC UCAs since they offer more range. Several members have this setup.

More caster range than the LR UCA's ?

 

I was pretty sure they were more adjustable than LR ones.

 

The LR allow you to add 0-4* of caster

I'm just curious what the TC ones add

 

Also worried about a thread I just read on front diff bearing issues after lifting a truck....

 

That's a risk you take .

 

i think the TC UCA's add 2 degrees.

anyway, i have the toytec ULK at 3" and the TC UCA's and i was able to get a perfect alignment.

you should not have any problems.

 

from what i have read, you can have that issue regardless if you lift or not. the lift just accelerates the issue. some trucks have that bearing issue while others do not (even with a 3" lift).

the more obvious concern is the wear on your CV boots. most everyone (with a 3" lift) gets a slight wear ring on one of the fins on the inner CV boot. i have had it for about 10k miles and it hasnt got any worse.

 

Is there a way to tell if i have this issue BEFORE i install my lift?
