    What did you do to avoid that piece that is welded to the frame in your pic there? Did you cut out a piece in the plate?

    I figured you cut through the bracket weld with an angle grinder, welded on the reinforcement plate, then welded the bracket back on top of the plate?

    I haven't had a chance to look at what that little bracket is attached to at the other end.

    Oh your talking about the gas tank filler bracket. i just cut it off the frame and welded it to the plate after i welded the plate on.
