Yesterday my backup camera stopped working. The connections are still good, but nothing is showing up on my rear view mirror. I live in Tampa and we had some pretty good rains and I had to drive through some fairly deep (1.5-2') puddles getting around. Could I have shorted it out? Any ideas or things I could check?

I'd go to the dealer and see I'd they would warranty it. Might be something simple

Lights work. first thing I checked. Mine never beeped. fuse and connections are all good. The mirror auto-dims too so it's not the mirror.

My backup camera stopped working. When my taco was put into reverse (manual) you would always hear a warning beep and the camera would display the image in the rear view mirror.

Now when I put the vehicle in reverse no sound and no image.

I checked the cable connection through the tailgate. Everything looks ok.

    What next?
