That would confirm my suspicion that they probably made the wheel wells wider a bit just like on the new 4runner. To help with aerodynamics.

vincevs, please correct me if I am wrong, but are you located in canada? I tired to find manufacturer and dealer discounts, but the only thing that came up was student or military. I am tacoma shopping on friday.

oh as for the dash, I'm not really sure, because I was looking on cars.com and autotrader.com and ran across it a few times, but when I was looking to show 4x4fink, I didn't find it on a 2011 sport 4x4, but the one i posted was from an sr5 4x4, so I don't really know what package or option it is

That is partly why I went with the short bed. LB was almost as long as my quad cab Ram. My Ram would fit in the garage with only about 1/2 inch on either end. And I did park it in the garage btw.

This may be a preview of what the new Tacoma will look like. It is definitely a "go" for the Hilux next year which is a pretty good indicator that the Tacoma will follow suit.

Im sure youll get plenty of overpriced lifts options at the dealership. I've talked to people paying up to two grand for a spacer lift at a dealership.

Yeah I am from Canada... To answer a few of the questions... but I should probably start my own thread after this. In Canada, we get $500 off and they match your down payment up to $1000 from Toyota Canada. I got the lift and tires installed at the dealer for a great price. I am leasing and they will honour the warranty and accept as a return with the lift since I did it through them and they did it for a reasonable price. If you are from Canada make sure you pull a www.carcostcanada.com report to get the invoice price on the truck. I took that to the dealership and negotiated a price above invoice. They have about $3000 profit in it and I got a serious discount from High River Toyota (in Alberta, Canada). Yeah that was a plug for them but they said they would pay me for it! Ask for Bob (fleet manager) and tell him Vince sent you and they give me $100 bucks! :D

I would take a deal on a 2011 they are great trucks and hold there value very well. I just sold my 2011 for more than what I paid for it new at the dealership 9 months ago, I just bought at a really good time I guess (reabates, end of the month) I can almost promise you if they do come out with a new design it will have a higher MSRP than the previous gen.(like the 4runner) and there prob wont be any deals on them for a while. If money isnt an issue than hold out. But when the 2012 roll out new or not prob not gonna be the deals out there like now. Just my 2 cents, I know there are alot of ppl on the fence. I was at the dealership today getting my FJ serviced and they are blowing out the Tacomas there.

Historically, have the Tacomas looked alot like the Hilux... if so, then this could be better than a rendering/photoshop... at least it'd give us a clue as to what the '12 Taco will look like?!

The dealer will do anything you want to the truck but they'll charge you way, way more than it cost them to drive the truck to the same shop you could've driven it to and have the work done.

Unless you get a quote from the shop down the street and they match it... like I did.

    Great idea, dude.

In a way, I wish I had approached my dealership about this from the beginning. Especially after reading that for your situation, they agreed to honor the warranty. My only hesitation with lifting mine is the warranty...and the fact that my wallet seems to be disintegrating...
