hey i currently have a 2.5" spacer lift with what i think is an aal, i just ordered these bad boys: also bought the 1" diff drop kit, (neither are installed yet)

i was wondering if i can clear 33s with out trimming anything? what width tire should i go with? i have 17 inch american racing wheels. my taco is more of a road puppy, i only take it in the woods once in a while.

    thanks for the help.

The simple answer is NO... unless you enjoy rubbing

3" or less will have some sort of rubbing at some point during the cycling of the suspension and/or steering

the most common problem areas is the cab mount, mud flaps, and all that plastic fender liner...

so what would i need/ have to do to clear 33s? how much more lift would i need on top of the 3" suspension? body lift possibly? not big into body lifts, might just end up sticking with a 32.

I have 33's (285-70-17) or (32.8x11.5) with a 1 inch spacer lift up front and a 2 inch leaf spring lift in the rear. They clear just fine, the only time they rub is at full lock going into a parking spot on a rare occasion, and that is frame rub so even if i had more lift i think that would still happen.

Wheel spacers would help get rid of the frame rub.

OP can also get new rims with a different backspacing to help avoid frame rub.

Either way..your going to have to trim some if you want to offroad.

Stick with a 265/70/17 if you dont wana trim. Otherwise, look into a 255/85/17 (I think thats right). It is a 33 but narrower so it doesnt rub as bad.

Depending on what size of 33s you get, you will most likely rub the UCAs as well as the frame and inside the fender well. The rubbing should be minor after you clear the UCAs. Wheel spacers/adapters or different wheels would help with the UCAs and frame. Trimming the plastic inside the wheel wells and doing the pinch weld mod will help a lot. Those coilovers are nice by the way, I'm running them on my truck :D

I have 33.1" tires with a 4.5" backspace wheel. I barely rub the bottom of fender flare.

I have a 2.5 inch spacer up front and my left front 33 rubs at full turn to the left on the cab. I had to trim about 6x6 inches worth of fender liner on both sides, I also beat in the part of the fender that sticks out...

awesome thats what i was looking for. im going to go with the same size tire: 285-70-17 im looking at the bfg mud terrain km2s :D if they do rub on the frame then i will buy wheel spacers but if you dont have any problem running them then i shouldnt either.

I cant wait till the coilovers come in! what do you have yours set at and what size tires are you running? im going to go with 285-70-17. i also bought the diff drop kit to because my cv boots are ripped on both half shafts. i hope the drop will prevent them from ripping again.
