Might be Selling 2009 Off Road - Need input

I am thinking about selling my 2009 TRD Off-Road with 15,000K miles on it. Upgrades include the toyota bed mat, TRD front skid plate, Pace Edwards Full Metal Bed Cover, Dynolock tailgate lock, weather tech floor mats, and standard V-6 TRD Options. I have it listed locally but have not had a lot of interest, I was using KBB Private Party Sales price (appears in line with what dealers are asking in town). Any thoughts on the pricing? Help would be appreciated as I have 3 cars and just started my own business.

 

Anyone have input on what I should list it for? KBB says $32K, which seems a little high to me.

 

That price does seem high, what did you pay for it?

 

With all mods + tax + warranty, it was more than $32K.

 

I would just drop it 500-800 at a time til I got a buyer, doesn't sound like you need to move it asap or anything...

 

No, not is a rush, just trying to make sure I am asking a fair price. Right now it is $30,500.

Sadly it is the 3rd car and I don't drive it enough to justify owning it. It is a great truck, never a problem. I thought about selling my Yukon instead because it has 100K miles on it, but I need the space.

LOL, if I sell it to a dealer I will let you know as their offer was so low I would have to remove half the truck and my brain to be willing to let them buy it. They thought I was in NEED of selling it and made a bad offer. I figure based on their offer I can pay for 5 years of insurance + registration and still come out better off

 

I've been looking for months to buy a 4dr 4x4 black trd and I have big spreadsheet of competitively priced trucks within 500 miles of phx (includes Vegas). I know the market pretty well. The good news is you have a really nice truck, the bad news is tacomas aren't selling near kbb pricing due to the economy. You'll see some listed close to kbb but those are not the ones selling. You have to remember a truck is worth what the market is willing to pay, not what an online reference guide says. Also keep in mind people are, more often than not, going to buy brand new over buying used for about the same price.

 

So what price are you seeing them go for?

In Nevada if you are buying from a private party and registering it in Nevada you don't pay Sale Tax, so this saves the person almost 8% by buying used from a non-dealer (just an added benefit). The truck has the extended gold toyota warranty, so there is 4 years of warranty left. I am not trying to price too high, which is why hoped you guys could all help manage my expectations on sale price.

 

I am not in Nevada, but 6mos ago in TN I paid 28,000 for a 2010 TRD sport w/ 20,000 miles, supercharged and no mods.

 

Would you be willing to sell that tronno cover?

 

Not until I figure out what I can do with the truck. If I sell the truck to a dealership, I will take off and sell all the aftermarket items, until then I will need the cover if I keep the truck.

 

Let me know what the dealer offers you....and then I'll come out from denver and give you 25k??
