Hey burry, quick question about welding prep. I'm looking to get my rock sliders welded on soon. I'm trying to do as much as I can to prep the surface prior to taking it to a welder, to reduce labor time/cost. Any tips or things I should do to prepare the surface of the frame before welding? I don't want the frame plates welded to the frame becoming a rust problem later on. I know I need to remove the paint from the frame but that exposes the metal directly to the elements. Will the welded frame plate seal it off so rust won't be an issue or is there something else I should do to help prevent rust, ie some sort of spray coating or something, before welding the plates and sliders on?

TV's Watches (TAG), appliances... basically almost anything you see in the Exchanges, Commissaries, PX, BX, MX.. ship's stores, mobile canteens... you get the picture. For example... Reebok... but not Nike, TAG, not Casio, Hershey, Not Nestle... Hamilton Beach, not Sunbeam, Delmonte, not Prego. We have half the business. My house is like a showroom for the joints we rep! So help me understand, We are going to start putting money into a retirement system and will not receive va benefits such as hospital?

Let me edit this: We will start from the day this comes into affect, putting money into our retirement plan.

thats what i get. also, from what i understand, if u have done 5, 10, 15 years u will get partial old retirement too. like if u done 10 years. u will get like 16.5% when u get out at 20, then the rest when u can get Social Sec. for new people comin in, u will get whatever u put in all the way till u get out, and not get it until u can get social sec.
if u done 15 years, u will get like 25% and for 5years u get like 12 or something. not sure. thats their "grandfathering" people in crap. i want my money the day i am done with the army at 20 years. not 25 years later

 

Whats up man, buggin my section ssg to get a welder bad, wanna get my hands back on it. Everything is 240 over here also.

So I wonder how it will work for such things as ppl who get knees/back probs while in, is it just going to be a lump sum or small bump in percentage received. Also the combat double they talk about would it just be combat mos or a deployment. I can see me not getting shit for kuwait but the one I do have and others I will do.
