from everything i have read the cooper discoverer st maxx is a damn good tire. probaly the the comparable to the Duratrac than just about any tire. its not a Mud terrain, but more aggressive than an all terrain.

thread on expidetion portal for the st maxx: http://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/threads/59755-Cooper-Discoverer-S-T-Maxx

that or the Dick cepek FC2. which no one seems to know about for some reason

when ever i was going to buy new tires this was my first runner up before i cheaped on the the retreads

from everything i have read both of these tires would be damn good choices for you if you dont get the derpafails.

My how this thread went wrong... so wrong. Let's get back to enjoying the rocks and mud on Saturday.

Accuweather is reporting that Bridgeport received .36" of rain today. Doesn't sound like much but that rock quarry holds water really easy.

Don't get me wrong, I don't have a problem with mud now that I have some tires with tread. Before it would be a killer for me because my old tires had almost no tread and slicked over real easy. Now... with new tread I have no worries about mud or traction. :D

Then it's a good thing I'm not going out. These stock tires pack up with mud and becomes slicks in an instant.

There really shouldn't be much if any mud. I can say there was still a few muddy/barely sticky spots last time I was there early last month. It is suprising how well that place holds water.

Well, this time it looks like Bridgeport is minutes away from getting a decent dumping on rain on it.

Too bad, I just now saw this. I should really check in more over here. I have been wanting to get the new truck back out there. But would most likely take the Taco out with the group of trucks going out.

Sorry - my bad. I have been meaning to post this over there but have been running short on time/sleep. Bring your rig; I'd like to see it. I'm trailering my 4runner up from Granbury and plan on being there around 8:30am.

Speaking of Granbury. I'm thinking a Tolar trip is in the near future.

I have to work tomorrow, so I won't be able to make it up. I'd like to, and would bring it. I'm gonna try to take it easy on the Taco now.

I know I still need a locker and tomorrow will tell me how much clearance work I need to do, lol.

No it wasnt muddy. Ground was just moist enough to catch good traction, and rip my tire tire off :(
