go order them from your local auto parts (chain)store. they usually offer life-time warranty so whenever they get worn out, bring them back for new ones.

your better off getting the 5100s. I had my frame replaced in march and i bought the yellow and blues thinking that the 5100s were out of my price range. Mine were 320 or something like that shipped. I think downsouth, one of the vendors here has them for about the same price shipped. I think i got them from autoanything.com. I was on the phone with an indian chick for like 45 min trying to figure out the exact part.

yes 5100s dont offer any lift if you set the ring on the fronts all the way down. The rears don't lift at all. They would be the better shocks to get IMO

    yes see look
    P7271397-1_4b4486fd5c9c9ede30b10f338aace8dd73551e54.jpg

See how the bottom shock there is a metal ring and 3 slots? The top one(thats how it comes when you buy it) gives 2.5'' of lift. Then i think its 1.25'' or something, can't recall, then 0'' at the bottom. If you want stock ride height just move the ring to the bottom.

5125s are usually recommended in the rear for lifted application or 5150s like that other shock in the pic. This is because you can get them in a variety of different sizes and their valving is different too i think. Either way, you can still get them if you'd like, for stock to slightly lifted(2.5-3'') get the 8.5'' travel shocks. Im actually trying to sell a set of 5150s that are 8.5''(those exact ones in the pic actually with like 400 miles on em lol i needed 10'' ones..long story..). They are more expensive then 5100 or 5125s tho.

all in all, you dont need to get 5125s or 5150s unless you want to for stock ride heights. If your plannin on gettin a lift in the future, then id get 5125s at least personally.

    soon to come
Hd means heavy duty which means a firmer ride with no wait. Also it means they dont squat as much with a heavier load... I would do 5100s in the front with eibach coils and 5150s in the back with a aal or a full swap:D

    Subscribed, thanks so much!

I just bought an '02 and the Bilsteins are TOAST! This with only 76K miles on them!

In any event 5125's are in the horizon!

Dude, the 5100's are a tried and proven shock used by many on this site. You wont be sorry :)

Just get the 5100/5125 combo. You get a discount from DSM for being a TW member (call them when you order), and you get free shipping.

I considered going with OEM bilsteins when I had to replace mine. When it was all said and done I went with 5100's in the front (set at the middle setting) and 5125's in the rear (stock height). VERY happy with my choice. Leveled out the truck nicely and rides very nice. Only regret I had was that I didn't put them one sooner!!

Edit: Also, from DSM the 5100s/5125s ended up being CHEAPER than OEM replacements. Double win!
