Call to sell seized firearms advances to states​

In the coming months, state legislators are likely to find a bill crossing their desks that requires law enforcement agencies to auction guns confiscated in crimes rather than destroy them, as many do now. The proposal is the brainchild of the National Rifle Association, and it was adopted last week by a task force at the annual meeting of the American Legislative Exchange Council, a Republican leaning policy group that brings together state lawmakers, advocacy groups and corporations to write model legislation.

They better be.

 

Good idea. Let's get some honorable people buying these things and give some orphans a good home again. May they go where they will be used lawfully and cleaned regularly as all firearms deserve.

Questioned answered, for more police equipment.... But they also talked about selling to gun shops and not individuals. Seems like the gun shops could easily mark these up and it would lose the value to us

 

Yeah but shops that sell police trade-ins still sell them pretty cheap. As much as I'd like to get them at auction, having them available at a shop would be better than nothing.
