It sounds silly but take baby powder. It gets the sand off when you are ready to head out at the end of the day so you don't drag all that sand into the cab of your truck.

That's where that pic was taken, out on the Point. It was from last October. That's lrgrnr's truck next to time and Namyo's next to his. I'll be heading up there the last week of September.

Here's photos of my newer air pump:

    IMG_4688_60f292d350530a4d58b073cb745e8854edbd7963.jpg

It uses less space in the truck compared to the Harbor Freight unit, which is in a hard suitcase... In measuring fill time, it added 5 psi per minute (the Harbor freight does 6 psi per minute)... But, the cables don't get nearly as hot as the Harbor Freight one does, and the fuse doesn't melt like they do on the Harbor Freight one.

The cigarette lighter plug in air pumps at a rate of just 2 psi per minute.

If you drop to 15 psi on the beach and want to get back to 30 for the highway...

Cig. Lighter Pump = 30 min. for 4 tires.
    Tsunami = 12 minutes. for 4 tires
Harbor Freight = 10 minutes for 4 tires.

Our easy up sun canopy, dipped into the wind... note sand bags to hold it down (they are re-usable shopping bags from Lowes... a buck each... and after 3 years one finally ripped... ~ 6 trips.

    I have the hose-clamp tailgate lock :-) best $3.14 I've ever spent
Thanks for the info on the air compressors, i have read about the HF air compressor buring through fuses... not really worth the extra two minutes if you ask me. i am going to get the other one you suggested (if i can find it) and keep the cig. lighter one as a spare.

Good call on the lowes bags... i didn't even think of those! much cheaper than the REI sand anchors ($13/4 anchors)

Thinking about getting one of these as a poor mans version of an offroad trailer: until i can ultimately build my own... thoughts?

I use two empty 5 gallon bucket and rope and either fill with water or sand to keep my e-z up grounded. Always take a shovel, and plenty of sunblock. Buy yourself a fishing shirt from Academy they are 50 spf. You will be glad you did. I use a frisbee to cut bait in keeps easy to wash out and keeps everything clean. Fillet Knife and sharpening stone are alway good. Lot of other things but I do not want to make the list too long or you will not read it! haha... have fun!

    Cooler.
    Beverages of choice.
Block ice, a single gallon milk jug or the like with the top cut off is perfect for me.
    Change of clothes.
Hair brush, if your like me with long curly hair and tooth brush and tooth paste.
    Music player.
Sun screen. I use spray on for body and roll on for face.
East coast sand you can't bury the legs without it being 6 inches from the ground and it stay put, so other's suggestions are perfect, the lowes' bags, canvas bags, etc.
Trash bags. Don't be a littering douche bag please.
Grill and supplies, like you said. I'm assuming your beach allows it.
    Camping suplies. Like you said.
Foot balls, soccer balls, whatever balls you like to play with, That's what she said.
    Food.
FIRE HYDRENT. ABC or a a bucket of water next to the grill.
    Buckets for washing feet.
    Towels.
    Chairs.
    Tire pumps.
Rod's and tackle, this time of year in SC your'e not going to stand a chance with anything other than live bait, live squid is good, but best thing is to bring a shovle and dig up clams or use oysters I've caught many sharks with these.
Cast net for marsh and stream fishing, to catch shrip. Fish meal, and flower half and half with enough water stired to make it about the consistency of bread dough.
    Minnow traps.
    Light tackle.
If you think the word suncreen put more on.
and pletny of rope. Sorry for being so long, but I do this every other weekend just about.

Squid, Skrimps, and cut finger mullet are the bait of choice where he's going. That's what I typically use at the OBX for bait. I'll put a different bait on each rod.

Yep, Red drum FTW! That's where I buy my bait and tackle down there. Plus, I usually air down to about 20psi when I get there and just leave my tires aired down until I leave.

Never been up there, I go to Edisto or Folly. The fishing is amazing in Edisto if you know what your'e doing and where to go. I've never had much luck with cut mullet I do all live in the summer such as it is now. I'll hit the marshes first, if fishing for shark, to catch live bait fish then ride to the beach just before sun down and throw out a few lines about 10 yards apart with whatever I catch, that usually does the trick for a nice sharpnose are a tiger. I also cast for shrimp in the early mornings for flounder. Only had one beach trip where I went fishing and came out without anything.
