What to do about the rear being to soft!

Ok here is my problem. My truck rides fine with nothing in the back (maybe a little soft in the rear at times but nothing major). Its stock right now. I have about 500lbs in the rear currently (2 dirt bikes, gear ect..) and it has leveled out the truck like I would expect it to. But was very surprised how it drove. It seemed to bottom out a lot especially over speed bumps ect. It almost felt like I was driving my prerunner on the street from the body roll that was created on corners.

Does anyone have some information about the TSB? And is it to late for me? I am not the first owner and just bought the truck about 3 weeks ago.

Another option would either be AAL or get some deavers sprung for me. Do you think a simple AAL would fix this problem? Or would it be best just to go all out and get some Deavers made up for me and do it right.

You are far too late for the tsb. It is covered under the 3yr 36k warranty. Your options are the AAL, airbags, or a new leaf pack. I'd try the AAL first since it is the least expensive.

 

Yea this is what I have been considering. What AAL would you recomend? Toytec? Or do you think I should do it right and get some Deavers ))

 

Don't do deavers if you plan on hauling weight. Wonderful product but they are designed to be softer than the factory springs and tend to sag under weight. You need something with a higher spring rate. i.e. an add a leaf, or perhaps a new pack as was mentioned (dakar etc.)

 

Icon and Wheelers both have a 3-leaf progressive AAL that rides very nice and supports weight pretty well. I have them in mine and have been impressed so far. I'd recommend lookint into it if you're going the AAL route. It's more expensive than a single AAL but comes with new centering pins and U-bolts.
