Nope, nobody has ever done that before. You could be the first.

My sway bar is off. Yes, there is a good difference in how the front end handles rougher terrain, the amount of flex, and the amount of body roll. There are big pluses to taking off the sway bar for off-roading, but some positives (comfort/better suspension absorption) AND negatives for daily driving... (such as the fact you are more likely to roll your truck if you need to swerve at high speeds. Or maybe even turning a corner.)

I don't know how different the effects are on the 1st and 2nd gens, but I'm guessing they're pretty similar. I have no idea if it will affect your clearance issues.

My buddies jeep had quick disconnects on the sway bars. I wish ours had the same design.

Anyone local want these reverse bulbs I got from ebay (JLC lighting)? Willing to part for $35. That will save ya $5 from the ebay price as well as shipping....PM me if interested.

As seen in the posted pict below these reverse lights are very bright and provide plenty of extra light. I just purchased a set of these lights off of ebay for $39.99 + $5.99 S&H and put them in my truck over the weekend. They are great however, since I have a 2010 with the backup cam, these lights provide the light further out than I desire. The light does not shine the first two feet under my bumper where my cam points; which I want when using the backup cam at night. I am going back to the original bulbs for now till I can find a brighter LED bulb that shines down in the center where my cam points like the halogen bulbs do.

Borrowed pict from SalmonTaco to show lights.[IMG]

Do they fit an '04 gen 1 taco? If so I'd be interested.

Bulb size is a 921. Not sure what the first gen reverse light size is.
