To come back to the darkside or not?

Hey peeps long time no post. So I was talking to an ex-TW'er who's looking to get rid of his 1st gen DC TRD PreRunner and ended up talking about trading the Mz3 for his Taco. I've definitely missed having the utility of a truck and now I've transferred to a much closer college so MPG isn't a concern as it was when I had my old taco. So what do y'all think?

I wouldn't make the trade, that truck looks beat.

I paid less than that for my 04 TRD 4WD Xtracab with roughly the same miles and in better condition.

 

I think it just needs a good cleaning because in the interior shots you can see crumbs and dirt in the cup holders. It looks to be in a lot better condition than mine was in. IMO he's asking too much for it but I think he put it high for a reason.

 

i say go for it. give it a nice detail and it'll look great.

He's actually getting it professionally detailed this week. I'd have to get rid of the spacer lift for some 5100's or c/o's and replace the seat covers at some point. I feel like I'd be picking back up where I left off with my truck.

 

Knew someone would say that lol.

 

He's wanting a full size truck. Go figure.

He told me he would just trade it in towards a full size. He can do whatever with the hatchback if he has it. Wouldn't be my car anymore so don't care..

x2. I drink coffee slower than he swaps vehicles and I bleed espresso. Either low ball the shit out of him or find a different truck.

Not too concerned with having 4wd really. I didn't use it much when I had my last one though.

 

Financially it might make sense to keep the Mazda a little while longer but, if you really do want to come back to the good side, don't buy from him for reasons already explained above.

So what's this, x4 for the rest of us, x3 if you're a little behind like Krazie?
