Spring TSB 2010 SR5 Update

Just a quick update on how things went for me. I just found out about the TSB yesterday and got some good feedback on this board.

I called my Toyota dealer in a small town in Oregon this morning and before I could even whine about the problem the guy said bring it in, I have the parts in stock and btw I just had a cancellation and I now have a opening at 1PM today.

I asked what this was costing Toyota to do this upgrade. $2000 was what he told me but who knows?

$2K!!! You might as well have told them to put on a full suspension lift kit for that much!!

 

I got a copy of the work receipt when the TSB was completed on my truck and it was something like $2100. Ridiculous... but at least it's free to us!

 

LOL too bad they cant just write us a check for us to "do" it ourselves

 

That is why they call them STEALERSHIPS.

If it was $2,000 for the rear springs without the shocks I can't imagine what they would want for a lift kit. Lucky for me this job is free.

If i'm reading it correctly, past the 3yr/36k mark were s&*t out of luck? Is it left to the service mgr's decision?

 

I was in the dealership service department, when I heard them tell a customer that asked about the TSB, they were out of luck for being one month out of warranty.
