Looks like it will be easy to retrofit the grille and headlights onto 2005-2011 trucks. The trim piece below the headlight may be changed too. Most plate/tube bumpers should remain compatible without modification.

Dagnabbit, 6 1/2 months later we finally get a photo. I don't like it, but I'm sure it will grow on me quickly.

    Nice find.

Front fenders (if they are what you mean by quarter panels) are the same. Toyota did the same thing with the 2012 Hilux facelift - changed all the plastic bits and kept the steel stampings the same to minimize tooling costs.

I am disappointed at the lack of projector headlights, though. Even my bottom-of-the-line Subaru has them.

As for the bumper, why should I care? :p

i think he means that the piece underneath the front lights is one piece with the quarter panel??? and not separate like the ones we have on the 2nd gen. I like the grill, iffy on the lights but i agree with you that the bumper wont affect me since i have the plate bump.

I am not the type of person to initially hate a new design. I loved the new 4Runner first time I saw it and I loved the 2nd gen Tacoma so much I went out and bought one. But that thing looks funny. I hope it grows on me, but I don't think it will....

Nope, play the video in full-screen at 720p. The trim piece is still separate. Even the trim piece may be the same, just overlapped by the front bumper.

Is this video fake? Why does the white 5-lugger still have the pre-2008 tail lights?

Really Toyota? 6 years and thats all? You can barely tell difference from afar...side and rear is same! lol I was lookin for the 2012 to blow me away so I'd trade my '11 in for a 4x4, but im not amazed....just yet.

I want to see this new interior, if this trend continues it will just have new lookin knobs...:D You can see in the video that the drivers inside A-pillar is sharp and slick, but on pasenger side it looks like 2nd gen?

How much can we trust this vid? :goingcrazy:
