oh shit man this is the best I have gotten. Idk if its cause the v6 6spd and 4wd, but way better then my last truck. Thing got horrible mpgs.

 

The only thing I have done was I bit the bullet on the AFE filter. Been getting approx. 20 miles extra per tank. So I have to say I have been rather pleased.

 

I justed ordered a afe pro dry s filter should be in wednesday... my current air filter is shit

 

i got 13 mpg for what i burnt at ocala

 

Trail riding kills mpgs.

I am having no luck finding a 85> truck... there is a clean 81 in lakeland but I really want a 84 4runner. Just cant find one.

 

i'm actualyl surprised how high it was for this meet. that last two wheeling trips have been like 8, but that's being in 4lo and inching across maybe 15 miles in an entire day.

keep the eyes open and you'll get a runner eventually

 

Yeah I can't imagine the rocks you went thru... that pic were it looked like a foot ball field of boulders... fuck that.

And yeah just got to wait I guess. May get that one in lakeland I like reg cab long beds.

 

Colin, I gotta say after watching that gif in your signature, I almost wouldn't care about the mpg I would be getting. Looks like a hell of a time!

Jealous... I will actually be going to Ocala in November, but won't be wheeling the truck. Taking my quad up that way with some buddies. Just gotta save up the money to get the truck the way I want. Being 2wd I doubt it will see many trails and be that ever loved "mall crawler"

 

One day. I want to get it and make it dependable then start working on building axles and lift and tires and find its weakness from there.

 

You would be suprised what your 2wd will do.

 

ocala's actually a great place for 2wd trucks. i actually think we had more 2wd than 4x4 guys this meet

reliability is key. trailside fixes get old quick.

 

This is true Mike, I used to take my 2wd cherokee through some stuff when I had that. Was surprised that I was able to come out of some of the spots.

 

I hear ya. I am keeping the 07 until I can build the truck I'm getting to be rock solid reliable. I will also pick up a gsxr600 for fun and back up.

Yeah I usually roll 2wd offroad till I hit the shit.

 

I just am rather hesitant to really go for it. Being the DD, plus with the atv I can beat the livin hell out of that and not worry.

 

Yeah man i mean look at my truck 2wd. Git sruck twice out there and I knew if i went thru the holes i would get stuck just did it for fun

 

the whole DD issue is why i usually bring my trailer full of tools everywhere i go wheeling. even then i'm nervous sometimes.

 

You know... It's bad enough this place has given me numerous ideas. But damnit, you're definitely not helpin the cause
