As chris said.. you'll be fine. You are protected by the Magnuson-Moss warranty act.

Adding even a TRD cold air intake does void your warranty

Yeah even adding a TRD intake voids the warranty, on the outside of the box in BIG letters it says so. You can't even open the box without seeing the notice. I still put it on my truck, just DO NOT over oil the air filter and you will be fine. Over oiling the air filter will short out your mass air flow sensor.

Oh okay got yah! Now what about an aftermarket cat-back exhaust system? Does that void the warranty as well? Because I heard it doesn't.

It voids the original warranty on the intake. Magnuson-Moss warranty act stipulates that the manufacture has to prove that the part in question caused whatever problem goes to light. The TRD intake is for "off road use" only, as it removes the charcoal filter, thus possibly voiding any emision warranty, and makeing it not legal for street use in some states.

no cat-back exhaust system voids the warranty.

    No.. Incorrect.

    Yes.. Correct.

By law a dealership cannot void/cancel you warranty because aftermarket parts are installed on your vehicle. They have to prove without question that the aftermarket part caused the item under question to fail.

Putting on an exhaust will not void your warranty, as for the intake it will only void items that are directly related to a compponent failure casued by the aftermrket parts
