Just found the site and love it. See a lot of military here :). I was hoping someone could help me with a question I have. I'm looking at getting some rims for my 4x4 2006 Double Cab that is unlifted. I want to get some black Dick Cepek Crusher rims for my truck for that agressive look. What size would you recommend that wouldn't require me to lift my truck, but still look good if I later went with a 3" lift? 16"? Also, what tires would fit best with those rims?

    A few bolts are different.
Personally I would go for an 18x9" wheel with 4.5"/4.75" back spacing. the lug pattern is 6 on 5.5. Tire size while un-lifted will be a 265 series, when you lift go with a 285 series. good luck.

really? I thought an 18 would work as long as you have a 265 with a sidewall series that is right at 31" tall for the total tire height???

    a 265/75 in a 16" rim...an 18" equivalent would be like a 265/65/18 or something...the largest 17 u can run unmodified is a 265/70/17 w/o trimming or rubbing

At the top of the site page is a drop menu under shop online. Use the Tire Rack size calculator.(if you haven't found it already):D Staying w/a 16 will give you more options on the make of the tire when you do lift it.After a 3" lift a 33" tire will still rub a little. The rim size is up to you.:) What kind of off road will you be doing?? Will you need a taller side wall? :) Hope this helps.:D Thank you for your service. :proposetoast: Oh ya, Welcome to TW.:)

Just got a quote on 4wheelparts for 17" DC-1s on 265s mounted, balanced, and sensors installed for 1770.00. Does that sound like a good price and will they fit my non-lifted vehicle? When I get them on can I just jack up my truck and bolt them on myself???

^^^ That is correct. btw those are both 33" tires which would be a snug fit without a lift. But with a lift it would be sexy time. :D

Lube?? Am I missing something... Install is easy all you need is a floor jack and deep sockets. I honestly dont think that price is very good though.

Well, it's a done deal out the door price with new sensors in the tire 1,769.00. I went with the new sensors so I wouldn't have to see that stupid light. I still have to take the truck in to a Toyota dealership so they can flash the sensors to match my vehicle (just fyi for anyone else thinking of doing the same). Should get here by next Friday I hope. I'll post pics once they are on. Thank you all for the input. I guess my trip to Afghanistan was good for something :)

***just got a call back and the guy said he was back ordered on the sensors for two months so I guess I will be looking at that stupid light GERRRRR!!! New out the door price is 1,599.00 so not all that bad.

Yeah, I guess if I lived in SC I could pick them up at the place directly and save a bit. I assume you did this jhodge? I tried a customs shop here in VA and it was outrageous. He wanted 2,300 bucks. Cost of living in VA is CRAZY. Don't live here people.
