01 trd prerunner 3.4 v6 stock gearing makes it run like shit, i have heard from some that it will never run good even with a re gear, and others say a regear is a must!
    What gears should i run?
And how much will it cost?
    any help is great!

Well I am familiar with Jeeps and on them when going to a 35" tire you would want to regear with 488s. 33" would be geared with 456s or could get away with 410s. Not 100% sure if the same applies to our Tacos

im running 35s with 4.88s and i love it, i had 33s with the gears and it was revving pretty high but with the 35s it dropped a bit and its perfect, i say either 4.56 or 4.88s

How is your bottom end with those gears?
Is there anything lower i could do for more bottom end?

4.88 is about as low as you want to go if you plan on keeping it on the highway. If I have a crawl bo by the time i regear i will go to 4.56

This might be alot to ask, but is there any way you have an acceleration video of 0-60 or so with 488s, when i had 33s my truck was fast but now with 35s it lags big time.

its pretty good, on the freeway prior to gearing i would give some gas and it would shift into 4th but now it stays in 5th and still moves
if i come out to gorman i can give you a ride and we can do some 0-60 runs, something is wrong with my truck for sure, its not as quick as it used to be since i went to el mirage and the rear end vibrates weirdly when i take off hard but its still pretty quick, still peels out when i step on it:cool:

How much would 4.88s with install cost on a 2wd truck?
