Tires on 07 crew 4x4

Stock are 245/75 16 Dunlop Baloney skins. I want to move up to 265/75-16's when I replace Dunlops, is this doable without lift! Seems likeit would be but I'm not positive! Feedback PLEASE!

 

I'm pretty sure you'd have no problem. The TRD offroad comes with 265s and I don't think there's any difference in wheel-well depth. You're only talking about a relatively small change in width and only 1/2 of that is on the inside. Only real concern I could see is if the tire won't fit the rim but that's highly unlikely (small difference). The tire place can tell you if that's a problem.

Thanks! JFYI Tire Rack on Webb good for tires and for info on them! I've bought 3 sets from them and can't kick. It's not as convenient as going to Tire store,but you can save some $$$$ I live in MD at present freight to VA would'nt be that much more!. Saving a buck is saving a buck and for our size tires it all helps out! THANKS again!

 

you will be fine with the 265/75/16......its what im running on my truck, no problem at all.

Actually, you'll need to run 265/70/16, without affecting your speedometer. If you google tires, there is a tire calculator on one of the pages, it's pretty self explaining. One of the problems with running oversize tires with newer trucks is that they give us codes based on miles driven, and actually you would be at the milage that the computer thinks you are, multiply this over a 5 year period and you could be all wrong on services, not to mention on warrantys. Can dealer reset for larger tires?

 

I heard from someone that they could, but never followed up on that. It would be nice to know, maybe you could make a call and get back to us, that would be cool.

 

i just swapped my wrangler silent armors on saturday for some bridgestone dueler at revo's.......and i went back to stock size- 265/70/16. i was having alot of balancing problems with the wranglers, and it actually felt, that when i went with the wranglers in 265/75/16, the brakes didnt wanna stop the heavier tire too well. so far, im really happy with the revo's........i didnt even have to have them road force balanced either(as of yet anyway.).

 

10-4 will check with dealer!
