I believe they go on top (might be the bottom) of the slider leg, and sit flush with the plate....

deck plate mod,jba cat back, bilstein 5100's,ome 883 springs, Allpro expos, allpro U-bolt flip kit, 10" Bilstien 5150 shocks, custom lower shock mounts
    I got my

    -allpro expos
    -allpro u-bolt flip kit
    -allpro brake line
    -beefed carrier bearing drop
    -10" bilstein 5150s
    -custom lower shock mounts
    -mercer frame plates

    Installed:D

I was scared that the expos would give me too much lift but it looks great IMO but I need bigger tires. The lower shock mounts are sort of in the way now with ground clearance so I may have some shock guards made up. The expos ride amazing compared to my aal. The frame plates went on great but...they only stich welded the outside...didn't even do the inside holes :(.

    Thanks guys!

Its the third set of Toyo MTs I've run haha. Pretty much indestructible. Really wanting to pick up a set of Grabbers for my next summer tires though.

The gussets are usually on top of the tube, against the frame plate to strengthen the mount and reduce the chance of you bending your sliders up into the pinch weld when you come down on something.

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.

Nice man I want to see pics. and about the frame plates you need to go back there and have them complete the job. The plates need to be fully welded all the way around and all the holes welded. These welding shops will tell you that it will hold with just stitches (and it will) but the plates are not there to look pretty they are designed to become one with the frame and fully welded "every seam needs to be welded" so I would take your truck back and have them finish the job.

On a side note i installed my Bud built skids, changed my oil & cleaned my air filter.

Wile changing my oil I had an epiphany of something that every 3.4 owner must have. I'm working on a design ASAP and should have a product developed in the next month or so :spy:

It's already been said but just to confirm, those are the gussets. It's important that you use those to reduce flex in the slider so it doesn't contact the body when you put the whole weight of the truck on the slider.

here's a shot of mine. You can see the little triangle on the top of the legs where they connect to the frame plates.

Dammit Tony thought of it first  but really it will be a bolt on Oil catch so we don't get oil everywhere when changing the oil on your trucks. It shouldn't be too hard to fab up so I can keep the cost low. I'll let you guys know when I have one built tested.

I use a plastic salsa tub and rag. But something in titanium or magnesium with a braided stainless drain hose with a remotely operated pump and a surge dampener and quick shutoff cam-activated by an oscillation overthruster would probably give me a couple more horses. Especially if I plastidip it.

For my 93 22RE, I got a little angled offset funnel with a drain hose and carved out part of the funnel to fit under the filter/against the block snugly much like the cool whip bowl above...
