The 96 impala ss held it's value for a long long time. I own a 07 quad trd off road. Considering I purchased this truck in early 07 and paid 30k out the door. It has 65k on it, normal wear and still worth 22k right now. Six months ago it was worth 19k according to kbb. This is awesome. I have two more payments left and it's all mine. I looked at the 3rd gen model and it is ugly and sucks. More plastic. A truck is not a truck without true rear bumper. The Tacoma turned into a ridgeline. The 2nd gen will reign supreme. The new impala vs the 96 impala which one is better? Exactly.

Well......The Tacoma certainly didnt turn into a Ridgeline. More torque, and a live rear axle, as well as a decent suspension.

Still has more torque than the Ridgeline, and a better suspension. Looks like the front is the only change, and nothing more than a design change.

Added extra awesomeness to its original awesomeness.
So is this the actual 3rd gen, or just more speculation. OP, can you link us to the new Tacoma?

This Concept Does look like a Ridgeline. But this was a 2008 concept called the A-BAT. Its actually a hybrid.

Looks just like a facial for 2012. The front looks more like the 4-Runner to me.

Yeah I'd also like to see a link OP. I bet he's talking about the black one that someone photoshopped from the new 4Runner.

That was another concept all together, that was not a Tacoma.

The '96 Impala held its value for a couple of unique reasons.

1st - it was the last year of the body on frame full-sized Chevy. They don't make anything like it any more.

2nd - The '96 had a full OBD compliant engine that raised the horsepower by about 60 HP making it the fastest Impala SS Chevy ever made.

3rd - it was (and is) a cult classic.

    The tacoma doesn't have
