I went out to my truck this morning and noticed my kids dvd player was missing. They also got my 250gb ipod and my garmin gps! :annoyed::frusty:

Im so pissed! Im kinda pissed at myself too. I went to my truck last night around 9:30 to get my checkbook and I forgot to lock it back...I noticed the driver side rear door was not shut all the way.
so on one hand Im pissed that I didnt lock it back, on the other Im glad that I got my checkbook out and that they didnt break any windows trying to get in. They also didnt take any tools, knives, or flashlights.

has this happend to anyone else? Will car or home owners insurance pay for any of this?

    Thieves SUCK!!!

Auto Comp should cover..but is it above your deductable? Are the above items worth the claim depends. Probably not. Lesson learned. Invest in a camera or motion detector light by the garage.

home owners insurance will cover it.

2 nights ago i left my wallet in my truck and the doors unlocked, 2 things i never do. Someone went throught my truck, stole my cash and nothing else, left my ipod, stereo, ultraguage etc. Also rummaged through my roommates truck

Zombie...sucks...but if ins will cover will depend on your insurance company

If they wont...consider it an expensive lesson

It really sucks that good, hardworking people have to hide their stuff and lock down everything to keep it from being stolen...but such is the world we now live in

Took a report for a girl last night...she ran into a gas station and left her keys in her ignition...dude drove off with her car

I'm amazed people still do this. I see it all the time. I even see them leave kids and pets in the car.

It doesnt pay to have anything nice, someone will just fuck it up anyways. Im not even that upset about the shit getting stolen. I just feel super unsecure right now to know that some dirtbag was just rummaging around in my truck last night.

This is the bright side, because the window still probably wouldn't have put you over the dedcutible.

I try to make sure nothing is left in the car, if it is, it is out of sight. Do you have the locking arm rest mod done?

Kind of one of those things I have but never use .. Same checking account for 5 years and I am on check 117 (started at 101).

I also am in favor of the motion lights. Usually when people see the lights come on, they run.
