    HA HA... I so did this. AND spliced broken cassette tape with scotch tape. AND .. I even once transplanted both reels into a new cassette tape housing when the old cassette dropped out of the car and was partially crunched. You could wipe the printing off the outside of another cassette tape with isopropal alcohol, put tape over the holes in the top and BINGO.. record right over whatever used to be on that tape (Sorry Mom).

    I never practiced any Karate Kid ... but I am guilty of the 12,000 annoying Top Gun quotes ...

    I thought I was the only one that did that! Same shit....took tapes apart...cut splice with scotch tape....worked like a charm!!! Worked with VHS too!!

    Yeah, some tapes were easy because they had those little screws in the corner but some you had to use a box cutter knife to seperate them at the seams then tape them back up... LOL!

    I remember using a tape recorder....holding it up to the radio speaker and recording that way!!! "Come on Eileen" sounded shitty that way but dammitt.....I could hear it while chillin on the swingset so it worked fine for me!!!!
