So I called my insurance today, since I got rearended two months ago, and the douche that hit me has fallen of the face of the earth. He's avoiding my insurance and his insurance, so I'm not sure what happens, besides me waiting. boo.

 

their insurance will end up paying you anyway... after they try to contact them for about 3 months.. :/

 

That's still better then me paying my 750 deductable. They totally lowballed my estimate too, so once I get the green light I can go get a new estimate (or a few).

 

how bad is the damage? My brother got hit in a parking lot, not so bad and the estimate was about $800. The girl that hit him wouldn't communicate with her insurance so they ended up paying him after giving her many 2 week notices.

 

go get some good quotes, all you need is enough to get some plate bumpers


today i reminded myself my front passenger wheels ABS is not hooked up, i did contemplate creaming the asshole whos fault it woulda been, and getting a new bumper outta it

 

Without another tacoma sitting next to it, you can't even tell. (Unless you go to sit your drink on the bumper, it won't stay) I worry about frame damage since the tow hitch took the brunt of it. They estimated $960 for the new bumper and paint. My insurance said they've tried to contact him, and his insurance has to "exhaust" their resources before the next step. They just didn't tell me the next step. I sure as hell will not pay the deductable to stay stock, that's for sure.

 

yeah. do some measurements and see if everything is still cornered up, i dont member what you said hit you, but id imagine it came out worse then yours.
