Back seat Head rest on or off

there is really a poll on this?

 

I plan on using the storage behind the rear seat just incase somebody rides in the back.

 

Never even thought about it until i see this

 

Mine are off. Mostly because my rear seats are usually down, instead of up.

 

Mine are on and I won't take them off - for safety reasons - they are there for a reason. Your neck can handle whiplash movement to the front and sides a lot better than backwards. In a crash, forwards and sideways you might end up with a stiff neck for a few days, but if you are rear ended without having the head rests your passenger might end up paralized (or dead). I can see fine with them, so I don't see a reason to take them out. Maybe the 2nd gen headrests are bigger than the 1st gen, but in my truck I have never noticed it being in the way.
Just my opinion.

 

I find that they limit visibility in the 2nd gen...maybe it's cause i'm short? lol

Not only that but to fold down the rear seats they have to come out.

 

I'd love to remove them, but I have the Access Cab and it's not a quick and easy process, to remove them or to replace them if somebody is going to ride back there. I really wish they were easy to remove... they'd have been in a box in my closet already!

 

I have the middle one out. I drive with passengers in the other seats too often.

I don't care to see the cars behind me since they usually are riding my a$$ and annoying me. I can't stand a$$riders.

 

I just took the middle one off until someone has to sit there.

 

I think the headrests are known to obstruct vision; that's why they fold down in the access cabs.

How about for those who have it ... Back up camera on all the time modd
Or just be aware of you surroundings

 

^^^ I keep them off for visibility and put them on when someone I like rides back there. If I don't like the person they ride in the bed.

 

Off ... but then again no one sits back there ....

 

I'm going to have to ask you to leave that attitude of responsiblity for your own actions at your keyboard and not try to spread that attitude to other people's lives. What would some people do if they had to answer for their own actions?

I had mine off for the first 120,000 miles of my trucks life to maximize visibility but then put em back in when I got leather because they look so much better. Not to mention I got lots of complaints from back seat passengers that it was uncomfortable without em.
